EFW HOUSE SHOW #1 RESULTS

Results from EFW House Show #1
June 6th 2008

Diamond Dave/Dick Handsome def. Garrett/Dylan Royal - EFW LH Champion Diamond Dave's bodyguard served full purpose against his potential challengers in this tag team matchup. Early on in the match Garrett and Dylan appeared to be a formidable team, but it was Dick Handsome that isolated Garrett with a series of suplexes and power maneuvers. Following a pin attempt on the ropes, Dick hit his FACIAL! facebuster as Diamond Dave nailed the Shiny Wizzerd kick on Dylan. Both were able to kick out. Garrett fired back with an impressive dropkick on Dick while Dave and Dylan brawled on the outside. Dave nailed the Cubic Zirconia Cutter on Garrett followed by a splash from Dick Handsome that only got a 2 count. The finish came when Diamond Dave hit the Cubic Zirconia Cutter on Garrett for the pinfall win.

Kris Dark def. "Indiana Jim" - HS Jimmy came to the ring dressed like Indiana Jones to take on his unannounced opponent Kris Dark. Dark has not been in an EFW ring since his Street Fight title match back in February. Jimmy was not prepared for him and pleaded, only to blank out and wake up to a vicious Chokeslam and a quick loss.

Sean Broman/Warrant def. Ocho Gato/Pink Elephant - EFW Tag Team Champions faced the 2008 Trios Tournament winners in what could have title implications in the future. The luchas went on the attack early with a nice enziguri/discus punch combination on Broman. Ocho was all over the place with a series of attacks on Broman including a series of snapmares and a spiral leg drop. Ocho went up top with a nice hurricanrana on Warrant followed by an Ocho Tornado that was quick broken up. Broman caught Ocho in a Javelin Powerbomb but hesitated, instead opting for a submission win with a sleeper. Much to his mistake, Ocho reversed it into a leg lock. Pink Elephant made a close submission save, but Broman hit consecutive high-angle backdrops on both team members for the pinfall victory.

Chad Hotti def. Megan LaRae (w/ Justin Springer) to become the new Hardcore Champion - It looked like more of a glorified handicap match on paper, yet somehow Chad Hotti found a way to sneak a pin on Megan while Justin was distracted with getting a weapon to win the title. It would mark Hotti's 3rd time he has held the belt in EFW, but it would not be for long...

Justin Springer def. Chad Hotti in an impromptu backstage match to become the new Hardcore Champion - Taken advantage of the Hardcore Title's wildcard rule, where it remains open to challengers until a title defense is made, Springer had no problem finishing what he had started earlier. With a Springshot on the concrete, Springer made the cover and quickly left the arena that night as the new Hardcore Champion.

Homeless Hank def. Casey Chase by DQ - The Homeless One appeared to be at a disadvantage on the onset of this match up with former EFW North American, Tag Team, and LH Champion Casey Chase. However, Hank came off strong in the early going with a series of elbow drops and continued to work over Casey with his brawling offense. Unable to get the win after a Case Cutter, Casey turned his frustrations to the referee by chucking him out of the ring and grabbing a chair. He then attempted to put him away with the top rope Case Cutter onto a chair, the same move that reinjured the jaw of Carlos Anderson at Trios Tournament in May, but Hank fought back and prevented such an attack. Casey could not take anymore and blasted Hank for the DQ. It was announced that they will meet at the next House Show in a tables match.

Rockstar Mafia (Mike Envy/Steve Cabana) def. Smitty/The Puma - The Rockstar Mafia looked to make it an almost perfect night in the main event and did so in a dominating fashion. EFW World Champion Smitty and his partner The Puma didn't seem to connect as a tag team in comparison to the experience of the R*M. The finish came when Steve Cabana hit the Cabana Bomb on Smitty followed with a Vanity Killer from Envy and the 3 count. With this loss, it could very well affect the EFW World Title situation in the coming weeks.
